Plotting the Plot Kim’s allotment Challenge! 

Tuesday 12th March @ 8.30pm

St. Colmcille’s GFC, Glen Ellen Road, Swords

Join us for a talk on Kim’s new allotment, as we look at the many challenges that will face her. She will share her plans and listen to any suggestions we might have on important tasks such as, clearing the ground, preparing for planting, a design for the plot, a timetable of tasks, what to plant, where to plant etc. 

Cost: €5 (non-members €8) includes tea/coffee/raffle 


Daffodil Delights!

Tuesday 2nd April @ 8.30pm

St. Colmcille’s GFC, Glen Ellen Road, Swords 

Join us for a night of Flower Arranging where you will be shown how to create Spring flower arrangements for your Easter table. We are inviting members to bring along a daffodil or two (not necessarily grown by you) for demonstration purposes, as we will be joined by Deirdre Cairns who will explain the different divisions & varieties. If you can name them, please do. Deirdre will also demonstrate how to stage Daffodils for the upcoming Spring Horticultural Shows, for those who would like to exhibit their home-grown daffodils.

A Festival of Fuchsias!

Tuesday 9th April @ 8.30pm

St. Colmcille’s GFC, Glen Ellen Road, Swords

FuchsiaNick Egan, International Fuchsia Judge and expert grower, will demonstrate all you need to know about propagating and caring for Fuchsias. He will also have a selection of Bush & Trailing Fuchsias for sale, many of the unusual varieties are not available through garden centres. There will be a FREE fuchsia plant for everyone in attendance …
