🏆 Our most successful year yet! 🏆 A fantastic morning down at the Broadmeadow Community Garden collecting leaves, restoring the current leaf mould cage, and a plant and seed swap. With 90 engaged people in attendance, we didn’t just swap clothes—we made a massive dent in our environmental footprint. This is our highest attendance ever! 🍂A quick reminder about what can go into our leaf cages🍂 🍂Join us for our Autumn Leaf Collection! 🍂 A lovely afternoon with Edward Stevenson from #SwordsWoodlandAssociation marking very young, self-seeded oak trees in the Ward River Valley park 🌳 What we thought would be a quick maintenance job - clearing the grass from around 15 saplings to give them a better chance of survival and marking them so they won't be mown — turned into three hours of work and over 50 oak seedlings marked! Another great morning out litter-picking with the TY students from @st.finianscc_swords and their teacher, Ms. Shanagher ♻️ A big thank you to everyone for giving their time and helping keep our community clean. 💚 A full house at last night’s committee meeting, despite some of our members being unable to make it! 👏 We welcomed some new members, along with a few visitors who we hope to collaborate with on future projects. Lots discussed and plenty achieved - a very productive evening! Swords Tidy Towns Chairperson Ken Duffy @fingalman and Ramune Kuzminiene @kuzminir, our Biodiversity & Sustainability Team Lead, met with the Loreto College Swords @loretoswords Green-Schools Committee and TY students to chat about our experience running clothes swap shops, volunteering with STT, and ways to get involved - including joining our committee! 🌱👕♻️
